The evocative scent of anise lingers in the air around the “Lakaria”, the traditional local Lemnian name for the the giant stills used for distilling Tsipouro, Raki and Ouzo.

The production of Tsipouro, Raki and Ouzo is a national Greek rite – a Dionysian ceremony dating back centuries, makes the perfect occasion for an impromptu feast, to which you are all invited! While the spirit distills, you can experience unforgettable authentic Lemnian hospitality by enjoying local handmade appetizers, like Kavourmas, Melichloro- saganaki (local cheese), sardines, and “tyropitoudia” (cheese village pies), all accompanied by “protostalagma”- the “fresh” spirit of the evening!
